Getting started

The whole path, phone to launch: get the launcher onto your Windows PC, claim a name, join a lobby, pair the launcher, hit LAUNCH. The launcher is the one desktop piece — install it once and set it aside; everything else is phone-friendly, right up until you play.

1. Download the launcher

The game runs on a Windows PC through the Soullinked launcher — that is the one desktop half. Download it for Windows and run the installer. The Alpha build is not code-signed yet, so Windows SmartScreen will say the publisher is unverified: click More info → Run anyway, once. Grab it on the PC directly, or send yourself the link — the rest of setup is phone-friendly.

2. Claim your name

Soullinked is invite-only right now — get an invite code from the friend hosting your run. On the home page, claim a display name and pick a color. The server mints your identity and shows a recovery token once: save it somewhere real (a password manager counts). There are no usernames and no passwords here — the token is you, so guard it like it.

3. Join a lobby

Your host shares a five-character lobby code. Enter it on the home page — or open the lobby link they send you — and you are on the roster. Pick your color if you have not, then ready up when you mean it: the run cannot launch until everyone has.

4. Pair the launcher

Back at the PC, open Pair a launcher from the home page: it shows a QR code and a short pairing code — good for five minutes, works once. Scan the QR from the launcher, or type the code, and that launcher is yours. Your phone stays the remote: lobby, roster, and the board all live in the browser. Details in Launcher help.

5. Launch

When the roster is full and everyone is ready, the host hits LAUNCH. Each launcher builds the run locally from your own verified game dump — the server sends a manifest, never a game file — and the lobby URL becomes the run's blame board. From there the rules take over: read them before your first route.
